Applying for a loan

Who can apply for a Capital Moni loan?

Ghanaian residents aged 18 or above with a valid government-issued ID, an active phone number and a bank or mobile-money account can apply. Each application is assessed individually.

Do I need collateral or a guarantor?

No. Capital Moni loans are guarantee-free for most applications — no collateral and no guarantor required.

What documents do I need?

You will need a valid government-issued ID (such as your Ghana Card or passport) for KYC verification, and a bank or mobile-money account to receive your funds.

How do I apply?

Download the Capital Moni app, register with your phone number, complete identity verification, choose your amount and tenure, and submit. The whole process is digital and usually takes just a few minutes.

Approval & disbursement

How long does the review take?

Our automated credit assessment works 7×24. Most applications receive a decision quickly after submission — review results are shown in the app.

How will I receive my loan?

Approved funds are transferred to the bank or mobile-money account you added during the application. The arrival time depends on your receiving account.

Why was my application declined?

Applications are assessed on several factors including identity verification, affordability and risk checks. If your application is declined, you can contact support to understand more.

Repayment & fees

How do I repay my loan?

Repay directly from the app using your bank or mobile-money account. Your repayment schedule shows the due dates and amounts clearly.

What are the interest rates and fees?

There are no upfront application fees. Indicative APRs range from 18% to 28% depending on the product, and your total cost — interest plus any applicable charges — is shown before you accept any loan.

What happens if I repay late?

Late repayment may incur penalties as set out in your loan agreement, and may affect your credit limit and future applications. Repaying on time protects your credit history and can unlock higher limits.

Can I repay early?

Yes, you can repay before the due date from the app. Repaying early may reduce the total interest you pay — check the details in your loan agreement.

Privacy & account

Is my personal information safe?

Yes. Your data is protected with 128-bit SSL encryption in transit, restricted internal access and OTP verification. We process personal data in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Read our full privacy policy.
